The Institute of Economy and Trade of Tajik State University of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement with Xi’an Technological University!

On September 18, 2023, a delegation of our institute, led by the head of the Investment and State Property Management Department of the executive body of the government of Sughd region, Sharifjon Nasimovich Akhmedov, and the director of the institute, Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan, visited Xi’an Technological University. For our institute, this is the fifth partner university from Shaanxi province of the People’s Republic of China. During the meeting, the rector of the university, Professor Liu Yun He, expressed the readiness of the parties to establish cooperation relations. Professor Liu Yun He noted that in order to advance this new partnership, it is necessary to start the exchange of teachers and students, so that our relations will become stronger, and further scientific and research works and various joint projects will be developed from these academic exchanges. The director of the institute, Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan, told about the activity of our institute, the direction of internationalization and our scientific directions, and noted the basis of partnership between the two universities. One of these areas is Information and Communication Technologies, which Xi’an University of Technology is a leader in. The director of the institute, associate professor Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan, spoke about the transition to the digital economy and the need for ICT specialists in the current conditions of Tajikistan. After the meeting with the rector of the university, introductory presentations were held with the schools of economics, information technology and artificial intelligence, and water resources management.

Cooperation with a new partner university from Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, People’s Republic of China!

Xi’an Jiaotong University is one of the top ten universities in China, and the University’s School of Management ranks first in the ranking of management departments among Chinese universities.
The delegation of our institute led by the head of the Department for Investments and State Property Management of Sughd region Akhmedov Sharifjon Nasimovich and the director of the institute Hoshimzoda Homid Hasan paid an official visit to this prestigious Chinese university. During this visit, a conversation was held with the vice-rector, Professor Wenhua Shan, regarding the establishment of partnership relations in the direction of exchange of students, teachers and scientific staff, development of joint projects, joint educational programs, exchange of experience and organization of international conferences and seminars. Negotiations were also held to conclude a cooperation agreement with several departments of Xi’an Jiaotong University, and the parties agreed on most areas of cooperation. After the official meeting, a seminar was held at the School of Management on the topics of the school’s activities, scientific research, international projects, and opportunities for studying at the school. The delegation was also introduced to the history of the establishment of Xi’an Jiaotong University in the historical museum of the university.
This meeting is very important and will make a significant contribution to establishing more and better partnership relations with Chinese universities.

Improvement of economic undergraduate competitiveness on the basis of principles of Bologna process (ICEG)

On December 29th, within the framework of the High Education Development project, was held the subproject of the “Improvement of economic undergraduate competitiveness on the basis of principles of Bologna process” (ICEG) with the objective of enabling and settling down the actual topics referred to job provision of the economic undergraduates.
At the round table the Deputy Chairman of the National Association of minor and medium businesses, Head of LLC “Ravzana” Sangin Ilhom Head of the Summary and Economic Analysis Department of the Main Agency of Statistics under the president of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sugd Region Aliboeva Khosiyatjon, Expert in staff department of Eskhata Bank Bobojonova Nigora , IT- Specialist in the staff department of LLC of “Farovon-1” Khurshed Boboev , Senior Manager of Alif Bank partnership Bakhtiyor Mirzosodiqov Project Manager of ICEG Inomjon Aminov, Deputy Director on Science and International Relations Dalerjon Mirpochoev, Head of International Relations department Saidqosim Mukhtorov, leading project expert Anastasiya Komarova, Head Specialist on internship and professional development Sodirkhon Umarov , Senior Teacher of World Economy department Shuhrat Qobilov had participated.
Firstly, the Project Manager professor Inomjon Aminov greeted the guests and mentioned the notion of conducting the round table and stated: “We must ensure the competence of staffs to become ready for the demands of the employer.” During the seminar the representatives of the organizations expressed their opinions and suggestions on undergraduate competitive development. Actual topics on narrow specialization, practice lessons, exploring English language, usage of company model during the lesson, usage of theoretical knowledge in practice, training of the students from the early courses for the logical thinking to satisfy the demands of the employer and the others were expressed. Head of LLC “Ravzana” Ilhom Sangin also in his speech stated: “There is an understanding of no work and no employee “is spread in our country and we must train the experts correctly so they could find each other (work and employee). The Head of International Relations department Saidqosim Mukhtorov stated:” One of the changes that our System of Education demands is the relation between the University and the employer. Meaning that the Universities should look with the client eyes to their employers. IT-specialist of the staff department of LLC of “Farovon-1” Khurshed Boboev mentioned his essential point of view on workplace choice, working in company and the relation with the employers and stated:” During the study the idea of the students on what should be adopted and why must also be considered so that we could make a complex curriculum from the gathered information. “We should train the students to think logically from their early courses so that they could settle any challenges down they face during the working life.” The leading project expert Anastasiya Komarova explained her idea on using their theoretical knowledge in practice and participate on making projects. One of the most demanded expert abilities by 2025 and 2030 will be the analytical ability, therefore we need to pay a special attention to it. During the performance of the Senior Teacher of World Economy department Shuhrat Qobilov spoke of what the students had learnt from the subject they studied? Is the subject they studied essential in the world labor market? Deputy Director on Science and International Relations Dalerjon Mirpochoev stated:” Improvement of Education quality direction at institute, curriculum revision’s main direction is to bring the study close to practice.
At the end professor Inomjon Aminov congratulated everyone with the upcoming New Year Eve and handed remarkable gifts to the guests.

International scientific and practical online conference “Strategic directions for improving the competitiveness of HEIs: European experience and issues of its application”

“Strategic directions for improving the quality of education and competitiveness of HEIs

 

Institute of Economy and Trade of the Tajik State University of Commerce within the framework of the “Higher Education Development Project” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, funded by the World Bank, is implementing the grant project “Strategic directions for improving the quality of education and competitiveness of HEIs”. As part of the project, international scientific and practical online conference “Strategic directions for improving the competitiveness of HEIs: European experience and issues of its application” will be held from September 3-4th, 2020.

The purpose of the online conference: to study problems and develop recommendations for improving the quality of education and competitiveness of HEIs of the economic profile, taking into account the principles of the Bologna process.

The conference is held in the following sections:

  1. Student-centred educational standards: the European experience and issues of application in the Republic of Tajikistan;
  2. Improving teaching methods and strategic directions for improving the competitiveness of universities in the context of globalization: challenges and trends;
  3. Digitalization of education: opportunities and risks.

The key topics of the conference are:

  • Problems of improving the quality of education in modern conditions;
  • Competence-based approach in the organization of the educational process: national and international experience;
  • Issues of competence formation and learning outcomes in a State Educational Standards for economic specialities;
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of study programs: criteria and indicators;
  • The structural and logical approach to the preparation and implementation of curricula of specialities and syllabuses/modules of disciplines;
  • Internationalization of academic activities: problems, benefits and prospects;
  • International accreditation of study programs and its role in improving the quality of higher education;
  • Business education in the context of globalization: challenges and trends;
  • Directions for improving the competitiveness of universities in modern conditions.

Working language of the conference: Tajik, Russian, English.

Materials must be submitted up to 10 pages in sent or uploaded in MS Word format. Page format: A4. Font: Times New Roman, 14 size, spacing -1.15; margins: right-15mm, left-30mm, top, bottom-20 mm.

Tables in the text must be done in Excel or Word without colour filling. Figures made in MS Word should be grouped and represent a single graphical object. Formula size: regular character-11 PT, capital index-7 PT, lowercase character-9pt. Style formulas: variable – italic, matrix-vector – bold.

The abstract of the article should not exceed 100 words and should reflect the main content of the article and the results of the research. Abstracts of articles in Russian and English are mandatory.

The maximum number of keywords and phrases should not exceed 10 words.

References to sources are made in square brackets, for example [3, p. 15]. Footnotes are not allowed. If the article does not correspond to the topic, directions of the conference and does not comply with these requirements, the Editorial Board reserves the right not to publish the submitted article.
