In 2016-2017 academic year, the department’s activity has become more effective. Only from September 2016 to January 2017, we were able to establish relations with more than 3 new partners for further cooperation. In particular, 5 new projects within the ERASMUS + program, Jean Monnet and the World Bank, were developed jointly with European and Russian universities. In particular, only within the ERASMUS + program the Institute is working on 4 projects in cooperation with many universities:
1) With Bologna University of Italy on the project “Tourism Development in the Republic of Tajikistan” under the capacity building program.
2) With St. Petersburg State Economic University under the project “Contribution of Universities to Sustainable Development” under the Capacity Building program.
3) With St. Petersburg State University of Economics in the framework of the Jean Monnet program.
4) With University of Cantabria, Spain the project (mobility) of student exchange between the IET of the TSUC and the University of Cantabria.
The Institute is also working on projects to receive grants from the World Bank to improve the conditions of the institute and prepare of working professions.
The Institute cooperates with other universities, mainly in the area of the exchange of teachers and students, conducting joint researches, participation in conferences and scientific symposia, as well as language training.
At certain times, there were professors from abroad in our institute, Shaeron Seton, Vanessa Beary, Terence Drew, Marcel Minutullo, Rebecca Viller from the United States, from China Chin Yang Xiaoyu, with terms from 1 to 3 years, they taught in English groups economic science and foreign languages. In addition, more than 30 scientists from abroad participated with their reports in international conferences organized by IET TSUC.
The representative of the World Bank, Mrs. Patricia Rivers Carter and the representative of the Asian Development Bank, Mr. Chin Chang Xi Yu, lectured on economic issues with our students and gave a positive feedback on their level of knowledge.
The Institute actively participates in the general student movement of young entrepreneurs ENACTUS and in the last 6 years our team has become the champions of the country five times and became participants of the international tournament ENACTUS, which took place in Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia, Cancun – Mexico, New York – USA, Beijing – China and Toronto – Canada, where they proudly raised the flag of Tajikistan, and received medals.
It should be noted that students from abroad, including from Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus, study at IET TSUC.
