The Visit of the Rector of the Northwest Agrarian and Forestry University of China to the Institute of Economics and Trade of the Tajikistan State University of Commerce

During the visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China, Honorable Xi Jinping to the Republic of Tajikistan, which took place on July 4-6, 2024, more than 29 new cooperation agreements were signed between Tajikistan and China, and the great interest was shown in the field of education and science. On the sidelines of the visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China, the delegation of the Northwestern Agriculture and Forest University of Yanling, headed by the rector Wu Pute, visited the Institute of Economy and Trade of TSUC and headed to the Khistevarz town of the B. Ghafurov district. There was an opening ceremony of the China-Tajikistan Joint Laboratory of Digital Agriculture exhibition, which was initiated by the Administration of the Institute of Economy and Trade of the Tajik State University of Commerce and the Northwest Agrarian and Forestry University of China.

At the opening ceremony, the director of the IET TSUC, Associate Professor Jalilzoda A.A. and the rector of Northwestern Agriculture and Forest University of China spoke about strengthening cooperation, organizing academic exchanges and training seminars, the importance of being naturalistic, respecting the land, introducing innovation in the process of land use, purposeful and economical use of water resources, import of modern agricultural techniques. Also they expressed their opinion on the establishment of scientific-research works on the basis of the established laboratory. It was noted that cooperation in this direction will continue to expand, and in this context, a valuable contribution will be made to the development and beauty of the beloved Tajikistan. Then the rector of the University of China visited the exhibition garden, which has a total area of 7.5 hectares and there are fruit trees such as apricots, peaches, plums, etc. He also had a sincere conversation with farmers and residents.
