Border Troops’ Press Center: Nearly 350 Afghan Citizens Cross State Border Over Two Days

DUSHANBE, 14.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – From July 13 through July 14, 347 Afghan citizens, including 91 men, 77 women and 177 minors (64 boys and 113 girls), who are Kyrgyz origin residents of the Andemin village of the Wakhan district of Badakhshan province, fearing persecution by the armed groups of Taliban movement and in order to save their lives, crossed the state border in the area of Kyzyl-Rabot rural community of the Murgob district and entered Tajikistan. SCNS Department in Vahdat Detains Residents on Suspicion of Involvement in Salafi Extremist Movement

DUSHANBE, 22.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Department of the State Committee for National Security in Vahdat has detained individuals on the suspicion of involvement in the banned Salafi extremist movement. The detained Vahdat and Rudaki residents are Obidov Abdulhak, Shuhiev Abuzar, Mahmadulloev Abdullo, Turkov Aziz, and Tabarov Ahmadkhoja.

A criminal case has been filed against them. The investigation is ongoing.
